World Club Volleyball Championship: Held in India

The World Volleyball Club Championship will be held in India for the first time in 2023 and 2024.

Volleyball World and International Volleyball Federation (FIVP) issued a statement in this regard:

In association with Roubaix Prime Volleyball League, we host the World Volleyball Club Championship every 2 years. The Prime Volleyball League champion as the host country can also participate. They will have to face the losing club teams from volleyball powerhouses like Italy, Brazil and Iran.

The tournament will be held on 6th and 10th December 2023. The city will be announced later. The Volleyball Club World Championship has been held for the past 20 years. Club teams full of top professional players participate in it. The title of World Club Volleyball Champion will be awarded.

In this regard, FIVP President Ari Greza said: We are happy to bring the best volleyball to India. The presence of top club teams is a great experience for Indian players and fans alike.

World Volleyball CEO Finn Dail said: “For the first time the Club World Championship is being held in India. The matches can also be watched via Volleyball World TV.

Rube Volleyball Vice President Pramot Duhin Mishra said: “It’s a historic moment for Indian volleyball.” The best volleyball players in the world are coming to India. Indian players will get a chance to play with them.

PVL President Thomas Muthoot said that we are working towards the qualification of the Indian volleyball team for the 2028 Olympics. PVL will also support this, he said.
