Rai will broadcast all the matches of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. After the competition for Italian media TV rights for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Fifa has assigned the exclusive rights of the tournament to Rai. The public broadcaster has been awarded cross-platform rights in television, digital and radio and will provide an extremely strong broadcast platform for the tournament. Rai, in addition to making all 64 matches available live on the territory, will also offer a wide support program, including highlights and programming. At least 28 matches of the tournament, including the opening match, the final and both semifinals, will be broadcast on Rai 1.
Fifa’s Director of Media Rights and Content Services Jean-Christophe Petit said: “After a very competitive bidding process, we are delighted to have concluded an agreement with a strong media partner in Italy for the Coppa del World Fifa 2022. We look forward to working with Rai to make this one-of-a-kind World Cup a great success and create an unforgettable experience for all Italian fans. “
