World Cup 2022: which teams qualify for Qatar?

by time news

The starting line is in sight for the 32 countries qualified for the 2022 World Cup. On November 20, Qatar, host country, will open the ball of the competition against Ecuador.

Group A

After this inaugural match, Qataris and Ecuadorians will face Senegal and the Netherlands, the other two teams in Pool A.

Group B

England, Iran, USA and Wales make up Group B.

Group C

Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland have an appointment in Pool C.

Group D

France’s playground. As in 2018, the Blues will face Australia and Denmark. Tunisia completes the quartet.

Group E

Germany, Japan, Spain and Costa Rica, the last team to qualify for Qatar, will compete in Pool E.

Group F

Morocco, Croatia, Belgium and Canada will host Group F.

Group G

Switzerland, Cameroon, Brazil and Serbia are featured in Group G.

Group H

Uruguay, South Korea, Portugal and Ghana make up the final pool of this 2022 World Cup.

Thirteen teams from the Europe zone, five Asian selections, five South American teams, five African countries, three representatives from the Concacaf zone and Australia will play on the stage of the biggest international football competition. Nations such as Italy, Sweden, Colombia, Chile or Algeria are missing.

As usual, the first two teams of each group will join the round of 16. The France team will try to escape the curse that awaits the outgoing winners of the World Cup. In 2018, Germany had taken the door before the knockout stage, like Spain in 2014 and Italy in 2010. Needless to say which team failed in last place in their group in 2002, four years after his coronation at the Stade de France.
