Doha > GCC nationals and Gulf expatriates allowed to enter Qatar without HAYA card and World Cup match ticket. Those arriving by air will have access from Tuesday. The Ministry of Home Affairs also informed that those coming by road will be able to enter from Thursday.

Meanwhile, a match ticket and HAYA card are mandatory to watch football matches inside the stadium. Match ticket holders should register through Haya online platform. All passengers can enter the country by buses as usual through land borders. Parking spaces are provided free of charge to visitors. Access will also be allowed through land border using private vehicles. However, the vehicle permit should be applied for at least 12 hours before the journey on the website of the Ministry of Home Affairs. No fee is required for vehicle permit. Entry through land borders will be from 8th of this month.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said the move is aimed at providing opportunities for visitors, citizens and residents of GCC countries to enjoy FIFA World Cup matches and entertainment events. The Ministry of Interior has announced that fans without a ticket will be able to enter Qatar from December 2 if they provide a hotel reservation and an entry fee of 500 Qatari riyals in their Haya Card application. This has been completely changed and the new decision is to provide free entry.
