Qatar is abuzz with festivities as the World Cup kicks off today. Fans flock from abroad to witness the game.
The 22nd World Cup football tournament, which is eagerly awaited by football fans all over the world, begins today in Qatar, one of the Arab countries, with spectacular performances. On this occasion, the entire nation of Qatar is in a state of celebration.
32 countries are participating in the football series which will be held till 18th of next month. Their players, coaches, officials etc. have already arrived and joined. Fans are flocking from America and Europe. Fans stroll happily in parks and open spaces.
It is said that Qatar will spend 17 lakh crore rupees for the World Cup football tournament. It is estimated that around 15 lakh foreign fans will come to witness the match. Apartments, hotels and thousands of temporary tents have been set up for their accommodation. Additional flights will be operated as fans plan to stay in neighboring countries and travel to Qatar to watch matches.
Qatar has also provided plenty of entertainment for fans watching the matches. Giant screens are set up here and there for fans who can’t watch in person.
The best football players of the world have come to play in this tournament. Expect the stadium to be filled with the performances of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Portugal’s Ronaldo, Brazil’s Neymar, France’s Clian Mbappe and Belgium’s Kevin De Bruyne. The games of Karim Benzema, Harry Kane, Vinicius, Luka Modric are also likely to be a treat for the fans.
In the opening match today, Qatar-Ecuador teams will play a multi-test.
