It’s a shocking sequence. During a duplex with Doha on the major Argentine sports channel Tyc Sports on Tuesday evening, reporter Matias Pellicciono decides to hand the microphone to a handful of supporters in the colors of Albiceleste and who have already arrived there for the World Cup. The latter then sing a song that they seem to know on the fingertips and whose words, mocking the African origins of the striker of the Blues and PSG Kylian Mbappé.

The video, captured several times on Twitter, quickly went viral in Argentina and then Wednesday morning in France. It has already been viewed more than 4 million times. As a reminder, France had eliminated Argentina from the last World Cup after a stunning match in the round of 16 (4-3). Kylian Mbappé, for what remains undoubtedly his greatest international match, provoked a penalty before scoring a decisive double.
At present, the Tyc Sports channel has not communicated on this sequence, which has been commented on many times on social networks. An Argentinian supporter reacted this way “This song represents our very xenophobic, racist and class society. Among the worst in the world”.
