The 22nd FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from today till the 18th of next month. 32 countries are participating in this first ever World Cup held in an Arab country. They are divided into 8 divisions and compete in leagues.
In this case, in the opening match at 9.30 pm Indian time, the teams of Qatar and Ecuador played a series of tests.
Ecuador’s Valencia converted a penalty corner in the 16th minute of the game. Then, in the 31st minute, he scored the 2nd goal. This gave Ecuador a 2-0 lead in the first half. Neither team scored in the second half.
In the end, Ecuador beat Qatar 2-0 to register their first win.
