Doha: Strict restrictions will be imposed on private vehicles in Doha. First Lieutenant Khalid Al Mulla, Head of the Cornish Closure Committee Technical Team at the Ministry of Interior, told Qatar Radio that this is part of public transport management in conjunction with the World Cup.
The number of vehicles in central Doha will be reduced during the tournament. A, B and C ring roads will also be controlled.
Inner roads in central Doha will also be under control.
Processions, buses, players’ vehicles, FIFA vehicles and public transport will be facilitated to reach Park & Ride stations on time.
Meanwhile, emergency vehicles will be allowed in these areas. Details will be released later, he said.
