Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The World Health Organization announced the provision of emergency medical assistance to treat those injured in the tragic wedding in Nineveh, stressing that it had taken immediate measures to support the efforts of the Iraqi Ministry of Health in providing critical medical assistance to the wounded, in response to this tragic crisis.

The organization’s statement stated the allocation of urgent medical supplies, which included medical bags and comprehensive treatment supplies, to ensure the availability of sufficient basic resources in Al-Hamdaniya General Hospital, Al-Jumhuriy Hospital and the Mosul Specialized Center for Burns and Plastic Surgery, stressing the organization’s concerted efforts with the national efforts working on the front lines to speed up transportation and treatment. Wounded in hospitals in Mosul and Erbil and providing vital medical care.

Dozens of people were killed, and 150 others were injured due to a fire that broke out in a wedding hall in Al-Hamidiya district in Nineveh Governorate, Iraq, in a major humanitarian disaster that struck Iraq.

The Iraqi authorities accused the fireworks and the combination of materials in the hall of being responsible for the fire, and the authorities announced the arrest of 19 people from the hall’s owners and those responsible to hold them accountable.
