Two cultural and historical sites in Germany at once entered the top ten most popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Europe. This is reported by the German newspaper Die Welt, citing the results of a study conducted by the British travel platform. Weloveholidays.

World Heritage in Europe

The World Heritage List currently includes 1157 cultural and natural monuments in 167 countries of the world, of which almost 500 are in Europe.

The ratings on TripAdvisor and positive feedback on Twitter over the past six months are the basis for compiling the European ranking of the popularity of these attractions among tourists.

As a result, the first place was taken by the historical center of Budapest. The second was the Old Town in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in Germany. On the third – the Tower of London.
