World Humanitarian Day: Sheikh Mohammed pays tribute to volunteers

Abu Dhabi: UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum paid tribute to volunteers on World Humanitarian Day. World Humanitarian Day is celebrated on August 19 every year.

Sheikh Mohammed recalled the humanitarian vision of the UAE’s founding father, saying, ‘We remember Zayed Al-Khair and we remember his message of goodness.’

He also thanked the 145,000 volunteers of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, which operates in 97 countries and helped reach 91 million beneficiaries last year.
