Qatar: The World Innovation Summit for Health has concluded by shedding light on the role sports can play in promoting healthcare. Qatar Foundation Chairperson Sheikha Moza bint Nasser attended the closing session of the summit. Hassan Al Tawadi, Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, stated that the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar will have a great impact on society and is a platform to promote healthy living.
The World Health Organization, International Disability Alliance and WISH announced the ‘WISH Declaration on Disability Inclusion in Sport and Health’ session. The plan is a call to action for inclusiveness in sport.
At the closing ceremony, the President of Tanzania, Samia Zuluhu Hassan, the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, Fatima Mada Bio, Minister of Public Health Dr. Many dignitaries like Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari and FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the event.
