While world leaders are gathering for the G20 summit in Indonesia, Russia has attacked residential buildings in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev.
Russia appears to have attacked other parts of the country as well.
Russia has launched an offensive in Mykolaiv, Chernivtsi and Zaporizhia.
It is noteworthy that the leaders gathered in Indonesia for the G20 conference registered their condemnation of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said several Russian missiles that attacked Kiev were successfully shot down.
An airstrike warning has also been issued in Kiev.
The mayor of Chernivtsi, where the attack took place, Vyacheslav Chayas, warned that people should move to safer places as the missile attacks continued.
Russian troops were withdrawn from the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson last week. This is seen as a major blow to the Russian forces.
In the past, Russian forces have retaliated by air when they encountered such a backlash on land.
