World mega politics lurking in the background of Ukraine: The gas conflict that is going to dominate Europe

by time news

Kiev: The world-watching Russia-Ukraine war is not just a two-state issue. Against this background the greatest world politics is going on. The United States is pushing to cut off Russia, which is moving to dominate Europe, with the troop card of Ukraine. The powers that be are preparing for a world war for economic gain and a hunger for power. Russia does not want US or European troops to encamp with NATO forces in its neighboring country. But Ukraine, the only country in the Soviet Union, has outgrown Russia and is closer to European countries. The issue is complicated by the fact that European countries also support Ukraine, leading to World War III.

Really, is Ukraine joining NATO the only reason for this problem? If so, of course not. In the background is the terrible political entanglement of the world powers. Russia is a country rich in natural gas. It is also the largest supplier of gas to European countries. The United States has been actively fighting for years to take that place. It has had some success. In this context, the Russian government plans to expand the ‘Nord Stream-2’, a 1,222 km gas pipeline from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea. Through this project the gas pipeline will reach Germany via Finland, Sweden and Poland. With this, Russia will be able to supply gas directly to Germany. Gas can be supplied to other European countries at cheaper rates through Germany. With this, Russia’s German economy will improve and Russia will be able to fully establish its dominance on the European continent.

In addition, Europe can do without the need for the United States. Economically the euro could be valued at more than the US dollar and converted into a world trade currency. This is the root of the problem. But the United States is determined not to loosen its grip on Europe in any way. That is why all the recent presidents of the United States like Obama, Trump and Biden have opposed this gas pipeline project. Due to this the project was completed in September last year but has not been approved by the German side. The only goal of the United States is to dismantle the Nord Stream program. At the same time, Russia and Germany are old friends. Some European member states are concerned that their return is not good for the EU.

Because of this, they are fully cooperating with the United States to ground the gas pipeline project. Ukraine is the trump card used for this. As for Ukraine, Russia refuses to pay billions of rupees in transportation costs, even if the gas pipeline passes through the country. In addition, Ukraine fears that Russia will arbitrarily cut off gas supplies to its country if it begins supplying gas to the rest of Europe. This is exactly what Russia thinks it can do if it joins the European Union.

Therefore, countries like the United States and the United Kingdom have stepped in to destroy Russia’s dream of using Ukraine. If Russia invades Ukraine, NATO forces, including the United States, will act with the main objective of launching the Nord Stream pipeline, whether it saves Ukraine or not. It is because of that fear that Russia is reluctant to lay hands on Ukraine.

Python public intimidation
In a joint interview with German Chancellor Olf Schauels recently, US President Biden said, “If Russia invades Ukraine, our first target will be the Nord Stream gas pipelines. After that those pipes will never be the same. We will stop that project, ‘he said. How will you stop the project when Germany has the power to do so? Python did not respond to a request for comment. At the same time, Germany has not yet opened its mouth about the Nord Stream project anywhere. As far as Germany is concerned the plan is to succeed.

Russia’s plot to launch offensive: Bombing of gas pipelines
Russia has long provoked insurgents in Ukraine and has been harassing the country. The rebels have taken control of many parts of eastern Ukraine. Russia is meeting their economic needs. The United States and NATO are monitoring Russia’s next steps in deploying troops around the border with Ukraine. Therefore, it is suspected that Russia, which has been delaying the attack, has begun its offensive in Ukraine by insurgents.

The rebel forces, which had been quiet for so many days, were suddenly mobilizing forces. Panicked people are fleeing to safer places. Rebel forces are also helping. So far 7 lakh people have been evacuated and relocated. Meanwhile, a gas pipeline in Luhansk, in eastern Ukraine, exploded when it was bombed yesterday. A petrol station in the city was also attacked shortly after the attack. There have been casualties in these 2 attacks. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. But the United States suspects it may have been carried out by rebels on Russian orders.

Accumulation of fighter planes
The latest satellite images of Russian forces concentrated along the Ukrainian border were released yesterday. In it, Russia has deployed fighter jets, helicopters and ground troops on the Crimean border to reach Ukraine in half an hour. Has also established medical structures there. According to US intelligence estimates, Russia has 1.90 million troops stationed around Ukraine.

War will break out in a day or two
In an interview with the White House yesterday, President Biden said, “We have credible information that President Putin has decided to launch a war on Ukraine. Therefore, we firmly believe in it. In the coming week, the attack may take place over the next few days. In particular, Russia could launch a war targeting Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, which has a population of 28 million.

Missile test
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has already intimidated Ukraine and the rest of the world with his military, yesterday test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile that strikes five times faster than sound. Russia says it has flown successfully and hit the target.

The growth of the United States
In 2019, the United States met less than 5 percent of the EU’s gas demand. The main suppliers are Russia (41%), Norway (16%), Algeria (7.6%) and Qatar (5.2%). The United States, which improved on this supply last year, has now increased its gas exports to Europe by 23 percent. France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal and some smaller countries depend on the United States for gas.
