The FEDECRÉDITO SYSTEM, within the framework of the celebration of World Savings Day, once again held the WORLD SAVINGS DAY CONGRESS with the aim of raising awareness among Salvadorans about this habit.
This important event featured interesting activities such as the keynote presentation “The path to well-being by practicing savings”, given by Andrés Panasiuk, one of the most recognized international leaders and speakers in the United States and Latin America, who has taught financial literacy to more than 21 million people through its books, programs and conferences, as well as other topics focused on promoting the valuable habit of saving.
The congress had more than 1,000 attendees including partners, clients, representatives of the Credit Unions and Workers’ Banks members of the FEDECRÉDITO SYSTEM, students from the country’s universities, representatives of national organizations, micro, small and medium-sized business owners, as well as different media.
The FEDECRÉDITO SYSTEM highlights the importance of World Savings Day as an opportunity to reflect on the need to manage money efficiently and responsibly. That is why it places special interest in offering products and services focused on savings such as the traditional Savings Account, the Children’s Savings Account, the Programmed Savings Account, as well as the option of contracting a Term Deposit, all exclusive for members; Additionally, it has created other options to save with even more accessible opening amounts, focused on segments with specific characteristics.
In pursuit of the objective of banking all Salvadorans, the FEDECRÉDITO SYSTEM has placed special interest in expanding its coverage, currently having more than 820 service points in 195 municipalities of El Salvador, being the financial network with the greatest coverage in the country.
