The 49th commemoration of those killed in the Fourth World Tamil Research Conference held in Jaffna was held today.
The commemoration was held twice in two sections at the World Tamil Research Conference Memorial located in Jaffna Yard.
A double remembrance
The commemoration was held in two sections even though the former member of Parliament MK Sivajilingam had called for the general public and representatives of Tamil political parties to participate in this commemoration without any hesitation.
In other words, while Shivajilingam had announced that this commemoration would be held at ten o’clock this morning, the commemoration was held at 9.30 in the morning under the arrangements of the Tamil Rashuk Party.
In this, members of parliament from Tamil Nadu party C. Siridharan, senior vice president of Tamil Nadu C.V.K.Sivagnanam and other members of local councils belonging to Tamil Nadu party and supporters of the party were present.
However, it is noteworthy that a few members of other parties and Maravanpulau Sachidanand were also present at the same time.
Arrangement of Shivajilingam
Meanwhile, Tamil National Party Secretary General M.K. Another commemoration was held at ten o’clock in the morning at the arrangement of the Shivajilingam.
In this, the members of the partner parties of the federation, especially the members of the local councils of Relo and Blot, and the members and supporters of the Tamil National Party were present.
It is noteworthy that members of Sivajilingam’s Tamil National Party along with Koppai Tavisalar Nirosh from RELO organization and former Savagacheri Municipal Council member Kisore Relo from Parutthurai Municipal Council member Sathees from Plot organization were also present.
