The World Tour Finals Badminton Tournament kicks off on the 1st of this month in Bali, Indonesia. The current world champion Indian player P.V. Sindhu clashed with Denmark’s Lynn Christophersen in his first league match. In the 38th minute of the match, Sindh started the match with a 21-14, 21-16 victory over Christophersen.

Following this, he faced Yoni Lee (Germany) in the next league match. In this match, he defeated Lee 21-10, 21-13 in the set. Sindh won the match in 31 minutes and advanced to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Indian player Sindhu played an action-packed match against Japan’s Akane Yamagachi in the semi-finals in Bali yesterday.

However, Agane struggled to let go. Thus, Akane shocked in the next set to Sindhu who captured the first set. Following this, Sindhu fought hard in the 3rd set to win and advance to the final.

Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, played in the final against South Korean athlete Ann Xiang today.

The match lasted for a total of 39 minutes and was easily won by South Korean Ann Xiang, 21-16, 21-12.
