Bajrang Punia got a chance to play in the bronze medal match of the 65kg repage event at the World Wrestling Championships.
Bunia won the bronze medal by defeating Puerto Rico’s Sebastian Rivera 11-9. This is his 4th medal in the series.
Punia has won medals at the World Wrestling Championships in 2013, 2018, 2019 and 2022. He had won silver in 2018. All others are bronze medals.
It is noteworthy that Bajrang Punia had won gold in the recently held Commonwealth Games
