1In October 944, the wreckage of the U.S. warship Sami B was found near the Philippines during World War II. The wreckage of the ship was found in the deepest part ever found. The discovery comes 78 years after World War II. The U.S. Navy Destroyer was found 22,600 feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean near the Philippines during World War II. It has been described as the deepest shipwreck in the world. Samuel B. Roberts (DE-413), a USS destroyer known as ‘Sami B’, was found off the coast of the Philippines last Wednesday. During World War II, the ship sank in October 1944 during a war in the Philippine Sea during a Japanese attack.

Sami B was not discovered by scientists or those interested in war history. Instead, it’s Texas billionaire Victor Veskovo, the owner of a special diving machine that can dive deep. During World War II, on October 15, 1944, the Sami B was one of the remnants of Allied warships west of the Philippine coast and away from enemy fire lines.

American war history describes how Sami B fought valiantly against Japanese troops. The U.S. dominated the number of ships compared to Japanese ships. However, the constant shelling from Japanese ships wrecked them one by one during the year. Sami B, the last of them to sink, had 224 soldiers.

Japanese shells continued to create large holes in the outer layers of the Sami B. When the ship finally sank, 89 soldiers drowned. The remaining 135 soldiers sailed for 50 hours in life jackets, sailing to the sea.

Wesco released the video of Sami B lying under the sea on his Twitter account. The center of the ship was hit hard. At the same time, its stern was cut about 5 meters. However, he wrote that the entire wreckage of the ship was still together.

‘The Sami B is a small ship compared to military ships. We were not sure if we could find her in that vast and deep ocean where she went down, ‘Vescovo told CNN. Caledon Oceanic, the founding exploration company owned by Wescovo, conducted six explorations before the discovery of Sami B.

‘But with perseverance, some great historical analysis, deep sea technology and hard work, we were able to find her and give her a great opportunity to tell her amazing story,’ he claimed.

The Sami B was the first ship to be named after Samuel Booker Roberts Jr. of Cox’s Wayne, who joined the Navy in 1939 and fought in World War II. Roberts announced his readiness to land hundreds of U.S. sailors a few miles north of Lunga Point, which the U.S. had hoped to capture Japanese troops.

The sailors gathered in a dozen wooden boats and headed for a beach near the Matanikau River. But a few days later they had to retreat from the onslaught of the Japanese. During the war, Roberts was shot in the neck by a Japanese machine gun. Roberts later received the Navy Cross.

The greatest honor he received was that he had three Navy ships in his name. DE 413; DD 823 was the destroyer of the first air strike from a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. The other was the USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58), a warship that crashed into a mine during Operation Ernest Will in 1988. And Sami B.
