India’s Gautam Adhani has taken the 2nd place in the list of the world’s richest people published by Forbes with a net worth of USD 155.7 billion.
Adani is currently second behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Tesla founder Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with a net worth of USD 273.5 billion.
Adani’s assets have grown by more than USD 70 billion this year alone. Adani is the only among the world’s top 10 richest people to have seen such an increase in net worth this year alone. Adani’s assets have grown tremendously this year. Adani first surpassed Mukesh Ambani as Asia’s richest person last February. Similarly, last month he surpassed Microsoft founder Bill Gates as the fourth richest person in the world.

As of March 2022 stock market data, he owns 75% stake in Adani Enterprises, Adani Power and Adani Transmissions. Adani holds 37 per cent stake in Adani Gas, 65 per cent in Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone and 61 per cent in Adani Green Energy.
Reliance Group Chairman Ambani is the 8th richest person in the world.
