Worsening of the condition of a paratrooper officer who neutralized the terrorist in the city of David

Three days after the shooting attack in East Jerusalem, this evening (Tuesday) there was a deterioration in the condition of Lt. N., an IDF officer who was injured in the attack. According to the Shaarei Zedek hospital, where he is hospitalized, his condition is still classified as serious. The hospital also said that he is being sedated and ventilated in the intensive care unit.

In the attack, Lieutenant N. and his father were hit by gunfire from a 13-year-old boy from the nearby Silvan neighborhood, who opened fire on a group of Jews while hiding among cars parked on the street. Lieutenant N., an officer in the paratrooper brigade, was seriously injured and his father was moderately injured, until his condition improves in the hospital.

In the footage from the scene of the attack, the terrorist is seen stopping and hiding behind parked vehicles as soon as he spotted a group of Jews, including children. He broke through the weapon – and as soon as they passed him he started shooting at them. Seconds after the shooting, many people are seen running away in panic, while others who were armed start shooting at the terrorist in order to neutralize him.
