Pakistan beat Ireland by 70 runs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Pakistan and Ireland, who are in Group B of the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa, played a multi-Test match at the Newlands Stadium yesterday. Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first. According to this, the opening player Muneefa Ali (102 runs) in the Pakistan women’s team was amazing by scoring a hundred.
Due to this, the team lost only 5 wickets in 20 overs and accumulated 165 runs. The Irish team, which entered the field with the goal of winning if they score 166 runs, could not attack the bowling of the Pakistan team and lost wickets one after another. Apart from Orla Prendergast (31 runs) and Eimear Richardson (28 runs), none of the team stood out as Ireland were bowled out for 95 runs.
Nazra Sandhu took 4 wickets, Satiya Iqbal and Nida Dar took 2 wickets each for the victory of Pakistan team. Pakistan team won by 70 runs and got 3rd position with 2 points in the points table. Pakistan’s Muneefa Ali was selected as the player of the match.
