“To succeed in Test cricket especially in England you first need to know the conditions of the next 5 days of the match. Then choose the right team accordingly. Australians on the other hand are free to do whatever they want to do. But if we do it right, we will be on the right side of victory.”
According to him, in the last final, India had boldly announced that they would play with 2 spinners and 3 fast bowlers a day before. But from the start of the final, the Southampton ground was suddenly dominated by the fast bowlers due to intermittent rain and humid conditions.
