Drew McIntyre and a cast of familiar WWE Superstars debut on the mobile-first microdrama platform ReelShort in the action-comedy project Agent of Shadows, premiering October 23.
The production marks the first live-action collaboration between the wrestling organization and the streaming platform, bringing together active performers and Hall of Fame talent for short-form episodes. The microdrama platform ReelShort reaches more than 70 million monthly active users across more than 100 countries, delivering premium original scripted series through mobile-first storytelling.
Wrestling Stars Join the ReelShort Cast
McIntyre has been absent from WWE television since losing a match to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, using the time to pursue outside acting projects. Drew McIntyre stars in the project as Roscoe, serving as the right-hand man and technology expert to the lead character, Adam Hawke, played by Chase Mattson.
The Scottish wrestler described his character by drawing a cinematic parallel in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, as reported by 411Mania.
I’m the right-hand man of Adam, the lead character, our James Bond type. I am the Q to his Bond. I’m the tech guy, and if called upon, I’m going to kick some butt too, and obviously, the sex appeal.

ReelShort stars Marc Herrmann and Chase Mattson join the roster alongside WWE Superstars including Jacob Fatu, Joe Hendry, Royce Keys, Nikkita Lyons, Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Michael Hayes, and Hall of Famer Booker T. Alongside McIntyre, the cast features a broad lineup of wrestling personalities.
Spy Assumes Nanny Role to Protect His Daughter
Operating under a hidden identity, he works to win the trust of both his daughter and her mother while secretly neutralizing corrupt suitors, mafioso strongmen, and a megalomaniacal billionaire targeting his family. To kick off the series, the premier spy on Earth assumes the role of a nanny to look after and shield his 6-year-old daughter.
Following the trailer debut, official social media channels promoted the release date. Public awareness surrounding Agent of Shadows surged when its promotional video debuted on Saturday, October 10, during the Countdown pre-show for the WWE Money in the Bank 2026 premium live event.
