Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is on the verge of bringing back some of his most prominent stars before the upcoming match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Barcelona is scheduled to meet the Parisian team on April 10 in the first leg of the quarter-finals.
According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Xavi is confident in the readiness of his player (Pedri) when facing Saint-Germain in the first leg.
This comes despite the Catalan team not yet announcing the official date for the Spanish international’s return, despite his participation in the last training session.
On the other hand, Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong did not appear in training, after suffering an injury to his right ankle.
But Xavi also trusts De Jong’s recovery before facing the French champions, so that he will be ready with Pedri to lead the midfield against Paris, as well as against Real Madrid in El Clásico on April 21.
