Comedian Oliver Pocher (46) brought the controversial musician Xavier Naidoo (52) on stage in Saarbrücken during a performance on his “Liebeskaspar” tour, thereby dividing his fan base.
He didn’t want to say too much, but Xavier Naidoo was “in the house,” Pocher heated up his audience, as could be seen in a reel on Instagram. “For me the best singer! Thank you for your trust and your appearance today!” wrote Pocher on one of his Naidoo posts in the Insta story.

The comments on Pocher’s posts ranged from “How indescribably beautiful, a sign of life from Xavier!!!!” to “With all his awesome songs and great memories, I can’t forgive him for the Corona swearing (…)”.
In 2022, Naidoo released an apology video after the start of Russia’s war of aggression on Ukraine, which many criticized as being too vague. At the time, Naidoo stated that he had been lost in conspiracy stories for years. “I said and did things that I regret today,” said the Mannheim-born musician. He had previously attracted attention for a long time with statements that brought him accusations of anti-Semitism and racism, he appeared with so-called Reich citizens, spread theories of the QAnon movement and polarized people with statements about the corona pandemic.
