KYIV. March 21. UNN. During the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the situation related to the war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine was discussed. This is reported by Xinhua UNN.
“During the meeting, the parties had an in-depth exchange of views on the Ukrainian issue. Xi Jinping said that voices for peace and reason in the Ukrainian issue are increasing, most countries are in favor of de-escalation of tensions, for peace and negotiations and against adding fuel to the fire. History shows that conflicts must ultimately be resolved through dialogue and negotiation,” Xinhua said.
The state agency of the People’s Republic of China reminds that Beijing recently published a special document entitled “China’s position on the political solution of the Ukrainian crisis”, arguing, in particular, against unilateral sanctions.
According to Xi Jinping, the Chinese side believes that “the more difficult it is, the more we should leave the door open to the world; the sharper the contradictions, the more we must not give up efforts for dialogue.”
“China is ready to continue to play a constructive role in promoting a political solution to the Ukrainian issue,” the message reads.
