Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered the strengthening of the country’s border, maritime and air defense systems to improve national security in line with the challenges of military modernization.
As reported by Day.Az with reference to TASS, this was reported by the Chinese Ministry of Defense.
As specified on the military department’s page on the WeChat social network, the head of state gave such an order at a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He emphasized that the creation of a modern military infrastructure is an “essential requirement” in the process of state building.
“We must firmly adhere to the idea of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,” Xi Jinping stressed. According to him, the command of the PRC armed forces should take into account the domestic situation and the international situation, and strive to form strong and reliable troops.
