Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in response to a congratulatory telegram to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, he stated that he was ready to develop friendly relations with Pyongyang. This was reported by the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA), Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

Kim Jong-un sent congratulations to Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, which was celebrated on October 1. As KCNA points out, a response telegram arrived on October 16.

“I sincerely wish that the fraternal Korean people advance the cause of socialist construction and continuously achieve new successes under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea, headed by Comrade General Secretary,” the PRC chairman said in his address.

“China and Korea are connected by mountains and rivers, and the traditional friendship between them becomes even stronger with the passage of time,” the telegram says. “I am ready, together with you, to make an even greater contribution to the stable development of traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between the PRC and the DPRK, to the continuous growth of the well-being of the peoples of the two countries, to the protection of peace and security, development and prosperity in the region and on the planet,” he addressed his colleague leader of China.
