Xi Jinping wants more cooperation with Brazil | Abroad

Lula was received by Xi in Beijing on Friday as part of his three-day Chinese trip. Xi has hinted in their conversation that he sees opportunities for more cooperation in various sectors. He is thinking, among other things, of agriculture, energy and the construction of infrastructure.

In Xi’s eyes, China’s rapid development offers “new opportunities” for Brazil. By working together, other countries could also benefit from Chinese technological progress.

The two leaders also discussed the war in Ukraine, on which both countries are trying to maintain a neutral position. Lula and Xi agreed that dialogue and negotiations are the only way to resolve the crisis.
