The Organization, Ideological and Economic-Productive Commissions opened the XII Congress of the Union of Young Communists in Güira de Melena. In this Artemis territory, the youth organization is made up of 1,565 militants, with a growth of 596 members, 3 Base Organizations for a total of 102 and 60 members who hold dual membership.
In this framework, he highlighted the need to grow in activities and proposals that motivate young people, not only to join the Organization as militants themselves, but also to relate to the work of the UJC.
It is not about having great resources but about being creative, looking for variants and adapting to the reality of these times, explained Gretel Araujo Arzuaga, Political-Ideological of the UJC Provincial.
Taking advantage of spaces to strengthen ideologies in young people allows them to change some beliefs that distance them from the organization. The current organic process began with the operation of the base structures when it was carried out in the planned 98.
During the process in the Base Organizations, 209 approaches were made, of which 106 found a solution at the base and 22 have been resolved. In this stage of strengthening, militancy has carried out different activities with economic and social impact, based on existing problems in communities in transformation.
Among the main trends of the aspects that most concern in this scenario, the differentiated attention to professional and political improvement stands out, increasing the link with the base by providing spaces for exchange to learn about interests, concerns and initiatives, among others.
The delegates to the Provincial Assembly, the members of the Municipal Base Committee and the proposals to occupy positions in Higher Management Organizations were also elected.
For the 2023-2028 work stage, several lines of work were established based on the concerns and opinions expressed by young Güireños in the XII Congress Assembly.
