The presenter Xuxa spoke, once again, about censoring the Holy Bible and creating a new book, politically correct, removing what she described as “hate” and imposing this literary work on Christians. In response, Pastor Renato Vargens denounced the idolatry of the god “love”.
A Xuxa’s statement it happened in the comments of a publication by Bishop Hermes C. Fernandes, a theological liberal who endorses progressivism in his preaching and publications on social networks.
“And the question you don’t want to shut up, arresting is no use, so how about making a New Testament? For the people interpret as they wish. How about taking out all the hate stories and just leaving the love? Let’s talk about Love? This is the true word of God”, wrote Xuxa Meneguel.
For Renato Vargens, “Xuxa once again attacked the Holy Scriptures”, since the presenter made a similar statement months ago about a change in the biblical text that submits to political correctness after being bothered by a speech by Silas Malafaia about the damnation to hell.
Then, the pastor draws attention to the intolerance and authoritarianism embedded in the presenter’s comment:
“It is interesting to observe the statement, between the lines, of the artist regarding the imprisonment of Christians. For her, since arrests are not possible (which reveals the hidden desire that whoever believes in the Scriptures as the Word of God should be deprived of their freedom), the Bible needs to be rewritten. Well, what do you mean? By the way, as the leftists say, would Xuxa have a ‘place of speech’?”, questioned.
Vargens points out that “God is love, but love is not God” and concludes by noting idolatry: “The issue is that many people gave the name of love to a god manufactured by them, in whom sin is not only tolerated, but encouraged”.
