XV Call ‘Euros of your Payroll’ of Banco Santander

This Wednesday June 7th, Queen Letizia and the president of Banco Santander, Ana Botinhave presided over the awards ceremony of the XV Call ‘Euros of your Payroll’, at the Palacete de los Duques de Pastrana in Madrid.

These Banco Santander awards are endowed with a total of 700,000 euros, which are distributed among the fifteen selected projects.

In this edition, 230 associations have participated, of which 30 have been finalists, and 15 projects have received 46,118 euros each, for their involvement in social causes and for supporting NGOs that help the most vulnerable.

Queen Letizia has stated that “With a lot of work, sacrifice, effort, great professionalism and good planning, they manage to change things and give a new opportunity to those who have lost hope. Thank you therefore to all those entities. Congratulations to the employees and the management of the Bank for this initiative of Euros from your Payroll, which is so brilliant and necessary, and thanks, in short, to those who are also behind all these entities, which, after all, is Spanish civil society together with the administrations and the private sector”.

Ana BotinFor his part, he pointed out that “every story behind these projects brings us closer to the problems and struggles that we are sometimes unaware of.” Likewise, she stated that “I am very proud of this initiative that we developed at the bank because it helps us to put a face to the people who work every day helping others”.

The president of Santander Bank He has also stressed that the sensitivity “of companies, international institutions and governments towards the problems that concern society is essential”.

The prizes of the ‘Euros de tu Nómina’ Call are divided into five categories: international cooperation, disability, social inclusion, health, and the elderly.

In the ‘International Cooperation’ section, the NGO Enraiza Derechos, Madre Coraje, Tierra de Hombres, and the NGO Xaley have been recognized, and in the area of ​​’Disability’, the Antares Association, Afanías, and the Capacis Foundation.

For their part, in ‘Social Inclusion’, the award-winning organizations are Fundación Padre Garralda, Adoratrices, and Fundacion Emet; In the ‘Health’ category, the PorqueViven y Actays Foundation, NUPA, and Laguna Fundación Vianorte-Laguna received awards, and in the ‘Elderly People’ category, the Center for Personal Promotion and Collective Development, Candelita, and Fundación Diversión Solidarity.

Since its inception, Banco Santander’s ‘Euros de tu Nómina’ has distributed 5.3 million euros among the 137 winning projects, and nearly 650,000 people have been helped.
