Yamaha Shows Off Wireless Surround Noise Canceling Headphones

by time news

Yamaha has unveiled the new YH-L700A wireless headphones with 3D sound and active noise canceling. The headphone price will be £ 449 in the UK, where sales begin in August. The timing and cost of the accessory in other markets have not yet been announced.

Full-size on-ear headphones with 40mm dynamic drivers. Wireless connection is provided through Bluetooth 5.0, and with this connection, the novelty supports the aptX Adaptive codec, and with a wired connection, the YH-L700A can play high quality music with a frequency range from 8 Hz to 40 kHz.

A special feature of Yamaha’s new items is the 3D Sound Field technology, which converts stereo sound into 360-degree surround sound. There are several settings for 3D sound mode (Cinema, Drama, Music Video, Audio Room, Background Music, Live Outdoor Sound, and Concert Hall) that optimize sound based on on the type and quality of the content. 3D Sound Field works with smartphones on iOS and Android and can create surround sound “from almost any source”, since sound processing is carried out directly in the headphones using proprietary Cinema DSP technology.

Head Tracking mode adjusts sound based on the position of the listener’s head, Listening Optimiser adjusts sound based on head fit analysis, and Listening Care protects hearing by allowing full frequency response even at low volumes. Active noise cancellation cuts out external noise without affecting the quality of the sounding music, and the transparency mode allows you to hear everything that happens outside.

Built-in rechargeable batteries allow you to use the YH-L700A without recharging for up to 34 hours (with 3D Sound Field activated, the autonomy is reduced to 11 hours).
