Barcelona and Spain’s 17-year-old football talent Lamine Yamal’s father has been hospitalized after being stabbed. He was stabbed on Tuesday.
Local newspaper ‘La Vanguardia’ reported that Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was stabbed multiple times in Paking, a town called Mataro, 30 kilometers from Barcelona. He was then rescued and admitted to Pujol University Hospital. Doctors said that the physical condition is bad but stable.
Barcelona police have already started an investigation into the incident. It is learned that more than one person took part in the attack on Yamal’s father. The police have already arrested several suspects. However, no details have been given yet from their side.
Spain won the European Championship in July. Yamal was a member of that group. He also assisted in the 2-1 win over England in the final. Not only that, he also won the best emerging player award of Euro-2024.
