That is, on ‘Starry Night’ (hereafter referred to as ‘Starry Night’) that will be broadcast from 10 PM to 12 AM on the 9th, a special feature on film music will meet listeners instead of ‘Clean and Dark Place’, which was a regular segment featuring psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong.
Yang Jae-woong has been a regular guest on the ‘Clean and Dark Place’ corner of ‘Starry Night’ every Friday, giving advice to listeners. However, Yang Jae-woong has not been appearing since the 2nd due to a patient death at the hospital he runs. On the 2nd, a special broadcast for the 20th anniversary of the death of the late announcer Jeong Eun-im was scheduled from 11 PM to 12 AM.
The incident in which a patient in his 30s died in May at a psychiatric hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, where Yang Jae-woong was the director, was recently made public and caused a stir.
Yang Jae-woong said through his agency Mystic Story, “First of all, regarding the incident that occurred during his hospitalization, I and the entire medical staff cannot hide our heartbreaking feelings, and we sincerely apologize to the bereaved family who are grieving the loss of the deceased and his family.” He added, “Not only I, the hospital director, but all the medical staff will cooperate with the investigation going forward as much as possible and will faithfully participate, and we will take responsibility according to the medical and legal judgments made accordingly.”
