Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jin-seon invited the Cambodian Posat Province delegation to commemorate the ’51st Yangpyeong County Citizens’ Day’. Yangpyeong County Governor Jeon Jin-seon invited the Cambodian Posat Province delegation on the 10th to commemorate the ’51st Yangpyeong County Citizens’ Day’ and presented them with a charm PC and an honorary citizenship certificate.

The Charm PC project is a project that directly delivers unused items to developing countries according to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security’s “Notice on Designation of Unused Item Donation Recipients.” The military plans to repair 33 computers this year and transport them when seasonal workers return home.

At the event, Governor Koi Rida, who actively cooperated in solving the rural labor problem through overseas seasonal workers, was selected as an honorary citizen, and was recognized for his contribution to the development of the county government.

Last December, the military signed an agreement with Cambodia’s Posat Province for cooperation in the agricultural sector regarding the dispatch of seasonal workers overseas, and in April of this year, 77 Cambodian nationals entered Yangpyeong County.

The Cambodian Posat Province delegation will visit Yangpyeong-gun for 3 nights and 5 days from September 9 to 13, and will attend the Yangpyeong-gun Citizens’ Day event to brighten up the occasion. They will experience various aspects of Yangpyeong-gun by visiting major key projects of Yangpyeong-gun, such as health tours, visits to seasonal workers’ workplaces, inspections of public health centers, and visits to Semiwon and Dumulmeori.

Deputy Governor Ppeubysut said, “I would like to thank the Yangpyeong County officials for their hospitality, and on behalf of Governor Koirida, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to County Mayor Jeon Jin-seon for awarding me with an honorary citizenship certificate.” He added, “I hope that in the future, Cambodia’s Pho Sat Province and Yangpyeong County will have deeper cooperation and exchanges.”

In response, Governor Jeon Jin-seon said, “I hope that this visit will further strengthen the cooperation between Yangpyeong-gun and Cambodia’s Posat Province,” and added, “In particular, cooperation in the agricultural sector will not only solve the problem of a shortage of rural workers in Yangpyeong-gun, but will also be an important opportunity for young Cambodian farmers to contribute to the development of their country’s agriculture based on their experiences in Yangpyeong-gun.”
