Julien Bayou, accused of psychological violence by an ex-companion, should put himself “withdrawn” of the national secretariat of Europe Ecology-The Greens (EELV), as he has already done of the co-presidency of the environmental group in the National Assembly, judged, on Sunday, September 25, the former Green presidential candidate Yannick Jadot.
An ex-companion of Mr. Bayou seized a specialized cell within EELV. She accuses the current number one of the party of “behaviours likely to break the moral health of women”, according to Green MP Sandrine Rousseau, who reported having received it.

The office of the environmental group in the Assembly had decided on Tuesday to suspend Julien Bayou from his duties as co-president, the day after details on this affair were given by Mme Rousseau on a television set.
Mr. Jadot, however, regretted the latter’s speaking out in the media, while an internal investigation is underway. “I am not in favor of these personal positions which damage a process that we must all respect”he estimated.
The attitude of Jean-Luc Mélenchon criticized
The former Green presidential candidate also criticized the way in which La France insoumise had handled the case of Adrien Quatennens, withdrawn after admitting domestic violence. “You have a certain number of leaders who have played on male solidarity, even virilist, rather than the protection of women”, estimated Mr. Jadot. In particular, it ruled that Jean-Luc Mélenchon had “made a political mistake” in his way of expressing himself on this matter.
