There are frequent dubbed films from Tamil to Telugu and from Telugu to Tamil. Films going from Tamil to Telugu will get more revenue. In that way, Rajinikanth starrer ‘2.0’ was dubbed in Telugu and grossed well there.
It had collected a total of Rs 100 crore and a share of Rs 54 crore. That collection was the highest collection of films dubbed in Telugu so far. So far only Tamil films have been included in the list. “Robo, I, Kabali, Kansana, Shivaji, Muni 3, Beggar, Linga, 24, Seventh Sense, Master, Muni 2, Stranger, Chandramuki” grossed over Rs 13 crore. The first part of ‘KGF’, the only Kannada film, topped the list with a gross of Rs 13 crore.
The now released ‘KGF2’ has topped the charts of all Tamil dubbed films. ‘KGF2’ grossed Rs 103 crore and grossed Rs 64 crore per share. However, ‘KGF2’, which has sold the dubbing rights in Telugu for Rs 78 crore, has to collect an additional Rs 14 crore to make a profit.
