Yatenga/Media regulation: The CSC discusses with media men and active forces

Ouahigouya (AIB)- A delegation from the Superior Communication Council (CSC) exchanged from April 16 to 20, 2023 in Ouahigouya with media men and active forces in the North region on the regulation of communication, in a context of security and humanitarian crisis difficult of the country

As part of its mission to regulate media content, a delegation from the Superior Council of Communication (CSC) led by its president, Abdoulazize Bamogo stayed from April 16 to 20 in the city of Naaba Kango (Ouahigouya)

The meeting of the “media policeman” with the men of the media and the living forces of the North region aims to promote communication that is aligned with the strategy of reconquering the national territory, initiated by the authorities of the Transition.

The discussions focused, among other things, on the social responsibility of the media and journalists in a context of difficult security and humanitarian crisis.

For the president of the CSC, Abdoulazize Bamogo, it is necessary that media men become more involved in the fight against terrorism by processing information while taking into account the threat to the existence of the State.

“Given the relevance of the exchanges we had with the journalists, I can reassure you that the CSC leaves very satisfied,” he said.

He said that to achieve its objectives, the CSC calls on the media to assume their share of social responsibility, through awareness campaigns on social cohesion and living together, to produce media content to encourage the fighting forces. in the field

The delegation first paid a courtesy visit to the King of Yatenga and religious leaders to seek blessings for the return of peace to Burkina Faso.

She then went to the site of the new headquarters of the CSC, located in sector No. 11 of the city of Ouahigouya, the cost of which amounts to 322 million FCFA.

On the sidelines of this visit, the CSC team held a public conference with the students of Yamwaya high school on the theme: “Young people and speaking out in social networks and free expression programs”.
