YAY Gallery is pleased to announce its relaunch! We invite you to the group exhibition “Everything will be fine: Tomorrow, or someday”, which features works by artists Rasim Babayev, Elshan Baba, Tarlan Gorchu, Orkhan Huseynov, Aida Makhmudova, Gafar Rzayev, Zamir Suleimanov and CHINGIZ, reports Day.Az. The curator of the exhibition is Zahra Mamedova
This exhibition will confront the viewer with a variety of reflections on how art is both a mirror and a means to reflect on its power to inspire change. Eight artists with different practices come together in one space, each offering a unique perspective on the power of transformation, on intersecting and intertwining truths.
Here we will explore a wide range of themes: from contemporary dilemmas to introspective journeys. The artists immerse themselves in a borderline state in search of meaning amidst the multifaceted complexities of space and time. They touch upon the problem of individual self-awareness, encouraging us to reflect on our identity and place in life. The exhibition embodies “diaries” that may only have a special meaning for the artists themselves, but at the same time resonate with viewers and reflect a collective experience.
The dialogue with the socio-political reality embedded in the works turns into a frank conversation with our soul. What could be more disarming than such questions? These questions arise, forcing us to consider the contradictions and chaos within ourselves, but at the same time to find beauty and a higher purpose within ourselves. Each artist is a kind of prophet of his era, who calls us to find a special meaning in his narrative. The aim of this exhibition is to encourage us to reflect and find faith in the power of art in difficult times. Through narrative, we find continuity and hope for the best. As artists continue to share their stories and views on life, we can find comfort in this for ourselves and hope for a brighter future.
