UAE Public Prosecution warns of harassment of women Harassment on public streets and through social media posts is also reported. The warning was part of an awareness campaign on social media to raise awareness about the country’s laws.
Under Article 412 of Federal Law 2021 of 2021, men who harass women face up to a year in prison and a fine of up to 10,000 dirhams. Those who harass a woman in public or in other places with bad words or deeds are punishable.

The public prosecution said in a statement that entering under the guise of impersonating women in places where entry is restricted to women would be a crime under the law.
