According to officials, 27 people were selected through priority selection of vulnerable groups and a public lottery last month, and the selected college students will work at the county office’s department office and town/village office until January 31.
In his encouraging speech, County Governor Jang Se-il said, “Although it is a short period of four weeks, I hope it will be a valuable experience in public service.” He added, “We will establish the Yeonggwang Future Education Foundation to help young people in our county adapt to society, including tuition support up to 2 million won per semester.” “The military will provide support to ensure this,” he said.
Since 2015, Yeonggwang-gun has been promoting part-time jobs for college students every summer and winter vacation to provide them with opportunities to experience military affairs and social life.
Meanwhile, Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Jang Se-il) announced that it is recruiting the 10th Life Empathy Policy Participation Group to participate in ▲discovering and proposing policy ideas ▲participating in national administration and city/city/county/district policies ▲monitoring policy sites ▲sharing and volunteer activities.
Anyone who is interested in discovering small but valuable lifestyle-related ideas that residents can sympathize with and participating in government affairs, including housewives, self-employed people, public and private institution workers, and retirees, can apply.
The number of people recruited is 5 in total, and the application period is from January 6 to January 15 (10 days). To apply, log in to the Sotong24 website (sotong.go.kr) and fill out the application to join the participation group. The activity period is from March 1, 2025 to February 28, 2027 (2 years), and participating members cannot engage in political or election activities such as joining a political party, working as a campaign worker, or publicly supporting a specific political party.
