The ‘Seoul World Fireworks Festival’, held annually at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul, will be held on the 5th of next month this year.

Hanwha Corporation (000880) announced on the 2nd that it will hold the ‘2024 Seoul World Fireworks Festival with Hanwha’ on October 5th at Yeouido Hangang Park with the theme of ‘You who draw your dreams like colorful fireworks.’

On the day of the event, various promotions and events will be held at promotional booths set up by various companies, including affiliates of Hanwha Group, from 1 to 7 p.m., and the full-scale fireworks festival will begin with the opening ceremony at 7 p.m.

This year, three teams from Korea, the United States, and Japan will participate. The Japanese team will present colorful space art with the theme of ‘The Hanabi’ (fireworks), while the American team will express ‘freedom and dreams’ with the theme of ‘California Dreaming’.

Hanwha plans to present a fireworks show with a message of hope using light as a motif under the theme of ‘Flashlight’. It also plans to present the largest fireworks ever so that more citizens can see the fireworks from afar, and to convey a story using letters and numbers.

Official seats that allow you to view the fireworks festival from the closest location will also be operated. Applications can be made from this day until the 22nd through an event held on the LIFEPLUS TRIBES app, and the winners will be announced on the 24th. Some official seats will be sold online through Ticket Link from this day.

Considering the characteristics of the festival, which attracts large crowds, the smart app ‘Orange Safety’ introduced last year will be further upgraded to operate a safety management system. The plan is to measure crowd density in real time through communication service linkage and identify the status of safety personnel deployment to encourage the dispersion of visitors.
