Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is ready to hold a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels, said the press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahan Hunanyan. The meeting may take place on December 15 within the framework of the Eastern Partnership summit. Earlier, the possibility of a meeting between the leaders of the two countries was confirmed in Azerbaijan.
“Armenia agrees to hold this meeting,” Mr. Hunanyan replied to the relevant TASS question.
The night before, President of the European Council Charles Michel said that he had contacted Messrs. Aliyev and Pashinyan and invited them to meet on December 15 on the sidelines of the Eastern Partnership summit. According to the EU Council, the parties accepted the invitation.
