Yessica Claudeth Palencia Pérez, candidate for the National Unity of Hope (UNE) party, wins the municipal elections in San José del Golfo, the data is preliminary and must be made official by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE).
According to data from the Preliminary Results Transmission System (Trep) up to 9:00 p.m., the tally sheets processed totaled 24,518, out of a total of 24,749, that is, 98.9%. “The results are preliminary,” reads the official page.
Abstentionism was 45.5707% (3,246) and participation was 54.4293% (3,877).
The municipality of San José del Golfo was created by a Government Agreement dated March 17, 1882, it is divided by a town, 16 villages and 22 hamlets. In its territory are the Montaña Los Oestes and 7 hills. It is crossed by 4 rivers and 25 streams. Its height is 930 meters above sea level, according to data from the commune.
Its villages are: La Choleña, Loma Tendida, Pontezuelas, Joya de los Terneros, El Caulote, Encuentro de Navajas, El Javillal, La Ceiba Village, Barranquilla Bridge, Cucjol, Pueblo Nuevo Village, Garibaldi, Concepción Grande, Quebrada de Agua, The Copante, The Planet.
