In the Decentralized Administration of Epirus – Western Macedonia, requesting the annulment of the decision – election of the representatives from the Municipal Council of Ioannina to the Compulsory Waste Management Association of Epirus, the “Ioannina – New Era” faction appeals, as it makes known in its announcement, even speaking of payment of campaign papers and strange agreements.
The cause of the appeal, as Dimitris Papageorgiou had mentioned during the municipal council meetings for the election of representatives, is the proposal by the majority of the leader of the faction “Ioannina 2023” Tatiana Kalogianni.
“It is our deep belief that the election of representatives by the opposition is its exclusive right and cannot be falsified and imposed by the suggestions of the majority. His Municipal Authority and Mayor Thomas Begas insisted on the opposite, thus paying pre-election bills to the faction “Ioannina 2023″. Such political transactions are reprehensible and show from now on what the course of FODSA will be in the coming years. We consider that the Agency is the responsibility of all the Municipalities of Epirus. They must see the reality and make decisions that will allow the Association to travel a clean path guided by the interest of the citizens and not those who seek a small or a larger piece of power. The new administration cannot be the result of strange deals and parapolitical background. Our faction submits its positions to all representatives of the Association, staying away from any kind of political transactions as it did in previous years”, the faction emphasizes.
