Former actor Yitzhak (Fitzela) Zvi has passed away

But a heavy fall last night (Wednesday, 23/3/22) on the Maccabi Haifa football club, upon learning of the death of the former Greens player – Yitzhak (Fitzle) Zvi and he is 87 years old.

Everyone knew him by the well-known nickname Pizzella, which he won for being short. Zvi played for the team in the 50s of the last century and was previously a member of the club’s management.

Pizzella played as a left-back for the Greens for nearly 7 seasons, during which time he made 65 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals.

Pizzela was not one of Maccabi Haifa’s well-known goal scorers, but was always considered a particularly loyal player. In 1978, after Maccabi Haifa was relegated to the national league, Fitzella took over as chairman of the board, when he was elected unanimously.

Pichella Zvi was a well-known and well-known figure in Haifa, not only in sports and many in Haifa not only from sports fans loved him. Pizzella loved people and people loved him.

The Maccabi Haifa Green Club reported:
“The Maccabi Haifa Football Club expresses its sorrow over the death of the late Yitzhak (Fitzella) Zvi, who passed away at the age of 87. Fitzle was a team player in the 1950s and a member of the management in the late 1970s. We share the family’s grief.”

The funeral will take place today, Thursday, 24/3/22, at 3 p.m.
