Seeing Arpita Roy, who used to make difficult yoga easy today, no one can say that she could not even walk at one point of time. About 17 years ago, Arpita from Hyderabad was seriously injured in a bike accident in Kolkata. After that accident, she remained in the hospital for several months. At that time Arpita had lost both her legs due to delay in treatment.

Usually people break down after such a traumatic incident in life. But instead of giving up, Arpita made herself self-sufficient not only physically but financially as well. Today she is a successful yoga teacher and is working to spread happiness by connecting people with yoga.

Arpita was just 20 years old at the time of that accident. It was a tough time for a bindaas, easygoing and college going girl. Though he had received prosthetic legs, initially it was not easy to work or walk with these things.

But the strong-willed Arpita started walking on her own instead of depending on others. Over time she was able to stand with prosthetic legs. Now Arpita wanted to make herself self-reliant. He went out and started working. But because of his artificial legs, people used to look at him with a sense of pity.

Then Arpita took the support of yoga to make herself strong. Arpita says that yoga is very effective not only for doing asanas or balancing the body, but also for balancing the mind. He started learning yoga in the year 2015. With time, her interest in yoga increased so much that in just four years, she started doing difficult asanas like handstand comfortably.

Today Arpita is a successful yoga teacher and teaches yoga offline and online to many people. Now he is completely self-sufficient. The Better India heartily salutes his courage and spirit.
