Yogyakarta Customs Cracks Down on Car Carrying Illegal Cigarettes in Kulonprogo

Yogyakarta Customs and Excise took action against a vehicle carrying various brands of illegal cigarettes during a raid in Kulonprogo on Wednesday (24/7).
Action Initiated by Intel The action was initiated following intelligence received about the shipment of illicit tobacco products in the form of cigarettes being transported in a specific car. Officers immediately followed up on the information by conducting land patrols and sweeps along designated routes.
Upon finding the target vehicle, officers conducted an inspection and discovered various brands of machine-made kretek cigarettes without excise stamps attached. A total of 308,800 cigarettes with a potential state loss of Rp. 295,590,000 were confiscated.
